Anyone who knows me knows I don’t multitask well. If I am being pulled in two many directions at some point I will go fetal and crawl in the corner. At least in my mind. In real life my face just goes blank. So if you have ever experienced that stare, now you know, I’m on the floor, in the corner, sucking my thumb.
It only took me a day and a half to realize that doing the camp video and running slides was to much for me. Luckily Jon “crazy guy” Henton was more than willing to take over. Not a minute to soon as I played a video in morning tab that apparently had the F word in the news ticker at the bottom of the screen. CHURCH MEDIA FAIL!! That’s what happens when I get stretched to thin.
Yet again I went running today. Made it a little further up the hill before having to power walk. Little known fact. It’s impossible to look cool power walking. (See Photo Here). However, I had a great run, made it up and back quicker and cooled off with a nice shower.
While I was out here were the thoughts that came to me in no particular order.
“Being in a leadership role is difficult. ”
“Does my heart always beat this loud?”
“I may seem like words and actions don’t hurt me, but truthfully, they sting”
“I am thankful for Aaron Clover and his servants heart and good attitude.”
“My body aches, is this what it feels like to be old?”
“I think Josh Melio and I had a beard connection today.”
I’m enjoying camp. I was able to have a decent conversation today with a long time camp friend. I look forward to more as we go.
